BASC LogoNew logo and website launched

BASC has a new logo designed to emphasise that we are for athletics supporters. A new strapline emphasises that our members are supporting British athletes.

At the same time, our new website has gone live. The website is a shop window for the club, so the main emphasis is on showing why athletics fans should join the British Athletics Supporters Club. There is still news and information for club members. The construction of the site recognises that more and more people are accessing the internet via their mobile phones, so as well as a responsive interface, it is built for swiping down to view content.

Summer season ticket ballots announced

BASC has announced that club members will be able to secure tickets for this summer's British Athletics meets through a club ballot. As usual these will be in prime locations. The ballot will be dran before the public ballots.

The reason for these only being available through a ballot is due to the social distancing required for spectators. The ballot for the Muller Anniversary Games (London) to be held on Tuesday 13 July are available from 10 March through the club - members have been notified of details. Tickets for the Muller British Championships on 26-27 June (Manchester) will also be notified to members.

BASC stalwart Jack Miller's death announced

Sadly, the death of former BASC Chairman Jack Miller, has been announced. As many members will know, Jack has been in poor health for some time. Unfortunately, he was admitted to hospital with an infection but whilst there he tested positive for Covid-19 and whilst he initially seemed to be fighting the virus, it got the better of him and he died on Tuesday 15th December. BASC's condolences go to Jack's family.
