Vote here for your Memorable Moment from the World Athletics Championships 2025

The World Athletics Championships in Tokyo did not fail to entertain with exciting competitions and very fast races. Not helped by injuries and mishaps, GB& NI failed to win gold, but there were some stunning medal-winning performances, all of which make our shortlist for Memorable Moment.

Jake Wightman completed a comeback from a series of injuries since his gold in Eugene to take silver in a highly competitive 1500m in a time of 3:34.12 narrowly beaten for gold. Amy Hunt shook up the 200m with a stunning run down the home straight to grab silver in 22.14s, fulfilling the promise of her junior performances.

After a difficult year, Katarina Johnson-Thompson dramatically claimed a share of bronze in the heptathlon finishing level with Taliyah Brook on 6581 points. Georgia Hunter-Bell and Keely Hodgkinson were pipped on the line by Kenya’s Odira who broke the Championship 800m record. Georgia ran a PB of 1:54.90 to take silver, and Keely after an injury-hit season took bronze in 1:54.91 well ahead of the rest of the field.
