This year we have enjoyed global championships indoor and outdoor, not to mention three athletes setting new British records. You can vote for your athlete of the year. Here are the nominees:

Jeremiah Azu – 60m world and European indoor champion, and world championship semi-finalist
Amy Hunt – 200m world championship silver medallist and 100m semi-finalist
Georgia Hunter-Bell – 800m world championship silver medallist and 1500m world indoor bronze medallist
Morgan Lake – new British record in the high jump with the landmark height of 2 metres
George Mills – new British records in the 5000m and indoor 3000m, European indoor 3000m silver medallist and world championship finalist
Lawrence Okoye – new British discus record
