Even with a very small team GB&NI came away from the postponed World Indoors Championships with 4 medals including 2 golds. BASC members voted Amber Anning's 400m winning run as their memorable moment of the championships. Amber bounced back from her disqualification for a lane infringement at Apeldoorn to become GB & NI's first ever female world indoor 400m champion. She won in 50.60s despite being baulked shortly after the break.
Azu, Gourley and Hunter-Bell were also shortlisted for the memorable moment. Jeremiah Azu, fresh from his triumph in the Europeans, emerged victorious on the world stage, dipping on the line to take gold in 6.49s. Neil Gourley and Georgia Hunter-Bell both won medals in their respective 1500m finals after their disappointment in finishing outside of the medals in the Europeans. Neil took silver in 3:39.07 behind the almost inevitable winner Jakob Ingebrigtsen. Georgia took bronze in a personal best time of 3:59.84 in a very fast race.
