Keely Hodgkinson and Reece Prescod were presented with BASC best performance awards at Bryggen's Manchester World Indoor Tour (bronze) event on 28 January.
Keely Hodgkinson (coach: Trevor Painter, club: Leigh) broke the world indoor best for 600m setting a time of 1:23.41. The Olympic silver medallist took 0.03 off the previous world best which had stood since 2004, set by Olga Kotlyarova.
Reece Prescod (Marco Airale, Enfield and Haringey) clocked a European Indoor Championship qualifying standard as he won his heat in 6.60 in Manchester. The time took him to the top of the UK rankings so far in 2023.
