Club members voted Neil Gourley their memorable moment from the Birmingham World Indoor Tour Final for his British record-breaking 1500m run in 3:32.48. Neil won the race along with qualification for the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow next year. He took over half of the votes in the members poll.
There was a good showing from British athletes in Birmingham, but three national record performances stood out: Dina Asher-Smith broke her own British record in the 60m semi-finals running 7.03s and Keely Hodgkinson broke her own British record in the 800m in a time of 1:57.18. Like Gourley, Hodgkinson took the World Indoor Tour title, qualifying for the World Athletics Championships in Glasgow next year.
