The Novuna UK Athletics Championships saw a host of standout performances. We've selected some of the best for club members to select their memorable moment of the weekend.
We have shortlisted 8 deserving athletes. These include four who broke championship records: both the 3000m steeplechase winners – Kristian Imroth in 8:18.97 and Elise Thorner in 9:16.95; Marcia Sey in the 100m Hurdles in 12.65s; Lawrence Okoye with a 68.81m victory in the discus.
Four other impressive performances join the shortlist: Joel Clarke-Khan returning after injury to win the high jump with 1.27m; Stephen Mackenzie with a clutch jump to win the long jump in a European Championship qualifying 8.15m and a Scottish record; Success Eduan beating the World silver-medalist Amy Hunt in the 200m with a time of 22.43s; and Romell Glave with his first legal sub-10 performance to take the 100m title in 9.98s.
